The Bernal Heights single-family home market stayed highly competitive in March, with strong buyer demand meeting a healthy number of new opportunities.
A total of 19 single-family homes closed during the month, with sale prices ranging from $810,000 to $4,700,000. The median sale price came in at $1,600,000, while the average sale price reached $1,943,289.
Even with more homes available than in some earlier stretches of the year, the pace of the market remained quick. The median days on market was just 14 days, showing that well-positioned Bernal Heights homes are still attracting fast attention from serious buyers. On a price-per-square-foot basis, the median closed price was $1,157.14, reinforcing Bernal’s continued appeal among San Francisco buyers looking for neighborhood charm, access, and long-term value.
What really stands out in the March data is the level of competition for the homes that moved quickly. Nearly 89.5% of closed sales went into contract within 30 days, and those homes sold for an average of 125.56% of list price. Overall, closed sales averaged 107.69% of list price for the month.
